With the success of Captain America: Civil War and the team up of selection of heroes across the board, Thor: Ragnarok has jumped on the bandwagon, with not just the previously reported Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) joining the cast but also Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange.
The official Disney fanclub, D23 revealed:
“If you need even more intergalactic, world-saving action, Thor: Ragnarok in November brings together Thor, the Hulk, and Doctor Strange to face off against intergalactic baddies both familiar and new.”
The post-credits scene of Doctor Strange has Thor coming to Doctor Strange for help in order to find his father, Odin (Anthony Hopkins). Also set photos from the filming of Ragnarok had Thor holding a business card with Doctor Strange’s address, and viewers saw Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and Tom Hiddleston (Loki) filming in New York.
It is not known how large of a role Benedict Cumberbatch will have in the final film, but his intergalactic skills will come in handy.
Thor: Ragnarok was directed by Taika Wahiti and also stars Idris Elba as Heimdall, Cate Blanchett as Hela, Jeff Goldblum as Grandmaster, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie and Karl Urban as Skurge.
Thor: Ragnarok has been slated for release on November 3, 2017.
