Jamie and Claire are ready to change the world, or is the world about to change them?
Either way, things are certain to change for our favorite couple. And we’re not just talking about the setting.
Season 4, which is based on Drums of Autumn, the fourth novel in Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander series, is set to premiere this November, and as is usually the case for this show, we can expect it’ll be anything but calm waters ahead.
Can Jamie and Claire just get one episode or two of quiet and happiness? Is that too much to ask?
It probably is – though, and fans have been anticipating this – book 4 is the one that sees the first meeting between Jamie and Claire’s adult daughter from the future, Brianna Randall, and her biological father. So at least there’s that to look forward to!
As for the rest, Jamie tells Claire: “I can’t change the world without you, Sassenach,” but we’re not entirely sure they really have any say in the ways the world is going to change around them. But, and it’s a small comfort, but it is something, they seem ready to face what’s coming the way they’ve faced everything: together.
