If, like us, you miss Outlander and need to return to Scotland you can celebrate because Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2 is coming! And Here’s everything we know about the show.
STARZ has yet to reveal much about the second season, though the first teaser offers a glimpse of what lies ahead for the show’s two couples.
Jeremy Irvine, Hermione Corfield, Jamie Roy, and Harriet Slater are back in the lead roles. Returning cast members also include Tony Curran as Simon Fraser, Lord Lovat, as well as Séamus McLean Ross, Sam Retford, Rory Alexander, and Conor MacNeill.
The series remains in the hands of Matthew B. Roberts, who continues as showrunner and executive producer alongside Ronald D. Moore, Maril Davis, Toni Graphia, Luke Schelhaas, Michael Wilson, Jim Kohlberg, and Luke Parker Bowles. The show is produced by Sony Pictures Television.

The Plot:
The first season ended on a hopeful note for Henry and Julia Beauchamp. After spending much of the story apart, they finally found each other again at Craigh na Dun. Whether that reunion lasts, however, remains unclear.
That reunion may prove short-lived. Footage released from the upcoming season suggests that Julia and Henry are once again apart. Julia is seen with their baby, while Henry appears to be navigating the aftermath of everything he has experienced and searching for a way back to his family.
Elsewhere, Brian Fraser and Ellen MacKenzie are entering a period of uncertainty. The outbreak of the Jacobite Rising places them in a very different position than the one they were in at the start of their relationship, with family obligations and events outside their control threatening to pull them in opposite directions.
Much of the new season appears to take place as Scotland moves deeper into the rebellion. That changing political landscape is likely to affect every character, particularly those caught between personal commitments and loyalty to their clan.
And all of that it’s confirmed with the synopsis, that said, “with the fiery crosses lit, Brian and his cousin Murtagh must return to Castle Leathers and pledge to fight beside his father, the scheming Simon Fraser, Lord Lovat. Ellen reluctantly returns to Castle Leoch to find her brothers, Colum and Dougal, feuding over how to respond to the call to arms. She cleverly devises a plan to protect Clan MacKenzie from the Crown regardless of the outcome of the uprising.
Meanwhile Henry and Julia Beauchamp, finally reunited after their unexpected journey back in time left them lost and separated, are ready to return back to their time and their daughter, Claire. When their plan goes horribly awry, the couple is parted once again. Separated from his love and hope, Henry must grapple with his mental health, as he fights to find his way back to Julia, who is forced to return to Castle Leathers and contend with her sinister husband, Lord Lovat.”
