It’s been a while since I wrote one of these. Sometimes it feels to me like everything is out here and writing them is a little pointless. But I’ve seen people freak out all over the place this week, so I figure it might be good to do some preemptive therapy. You’ll get your fix after the episode, I promise, but right now, this is less about teasing and more about reminding us all (me included), of a couple of things.
Number one: this is a journey. Characters are not perfect, and they shouldn’t be, because perfect is boring. Yes, sometimes they’ll stumble. Yes, sometimes they’ll fall. Often they’ll act in ways that are not just misguided, but wrong. And that’s okay. Because that’s where growth comes from.
What to do when that happens? Curse at them, if you need to. Call them idiots. Disagree. You’re not supposed to like everything they do, as you don’t like everything your family/friends do. But ask yourself, is this leading somewhere? Are the writers fulfilling the promise of making each character grow? And, if they are ….then …stick the ride out. Because it’s worth it. Even if it requires some processed sugar and/or alcohol.
So, what can I tease? Not as much as you’d probably want, but some things. So let’s get into it!
- Agent Christopher is ruthless.
- Wyatt Logan is a bad-ass. Just in case you’d forgotten.
- The music in this episode is OUT OF THIS WORLD good.
- I didn’t think I could feel for Connor Mason in any way. Color me shocked, because I did.
- There are Riya feels in this episode. I repeat, THERE ARE RIYA FEELS IN THIS EPISODE.
- If you liked Flynn before this episode, you’ll like him more. If you didn’t, you might find yourself not hating him as much.
- He and Wyatt almost have, dare I say it, a moment of understanding?
- Lucy Preston is not a victim, and we shouldn’t feel sorry for her.
- Not everything is as it seems.
- Rufus still needs sensitivity training, but he’s getting better.
- Lose hope for Lyatt? Never. And you shouldn’t either.
