I have to admit that I was really sad over the Lizzie McGuire reboot not taking off, but I have come to accept it, because we’re getting Hilary Duff in another show.
Yes, How I Met Your Mother may not have been my favorite show, but will I be watching How I Met Your Father. Duff is set to star in the show for Hulu. We hadn’t gotten much information on this show beyond that, but we know now who will be starring opposite her – Chris Lowell has been cast.
He will be playing one of Duff’s characters friends, Jesse. He’s smart, cynical about love, and a musician. Yes, cynical about love and musician go together for me. He is an Uber Driver and lives with his best friend, Tom.
How I Met Your Father tells the story of, “Sophie, who is telling her son the story of how she met his father, much like Josh Radnor (and Bob Saget’s) Ted Mosby did in the original series. The story starts in 2021 where Sophie and her close-knit group of friends are in the midst of figuring out who they are, what they want out of life, and how to fall in love in the age of dating apps and limitless options.”
