A new doctor is coming to New Amsterdam, and she’s latina!
TVLine was the first to report the news that Michelle Forbes – who is of Mexican descent – will join the medical drama in the recurring role as Dr. Veronica Fuentes, and it seems like her job will be much more administrative than anything. We can’t say we’ll be too sad to see her clean house when it comes to the board, if we’re being honest. The only thing the board has done right in the past three seasons is …well, hire Max?
And, besides, we’re game for someone else taking on the board and a big chunk of what the storyline when it comes to the administrative side. We want Max free for more Sharpwin moments, okay? Okay. No arguing with boards members about all the things they do wrong, Max. Someone else can have that fight! It’s not like you don’t have about 3847343 other fights, after all.
Plus, you know, an infant daughter, a new relationship and a hospital to run.
Forbes previous role was on ABC’s Big Sky, which is also set to return for a season 2, though Forbes character will not be returning. She’s now Dr. Veronica Fuentes, thank you very much.
There’s still no information on what’s coming in season 4 of New Amsterdam, so we’re just gonna leave you with the opening 5 minutes of season 3 again, because we watched it and cried again, so you must join us:
