Relationships are difficult. You stay in some, you leave some. It’s always hard to leave a relationship, especially a public one. Because everyone has an opinion and everyone wants to know everything that they can about why it ended.
As a die hard One Tree Hill fan, I admit that I wanted once to know everything about Sophia Bush and Chad Michael Murray‘s relationship and marriage. But as I have grown up, I have realized that it doesn’t matter.
All that matters to me is the show and the affect that it had on me.
Sophia was talking on the Inside of You podcast she said (when asked about him), “Oh, I’m not going to talk about him. I’m not allowed to because I’ve tried to poke fun at being a dumb kid and whenever I’ve done that, it gets twisted into I’m talking s–t about somebody who I don’t even know anymore, who’s clearly a grown-up.”
“I think you have to laugh at who you used to be but when people ask me about history that involves someone else…it’s not worth my time. It’s not a place where I harbor ill will or anything,” she continued. “I’ve tried to like, you know, do the thing where when I get stuck live on the air—which has happened to me twice—getting asked about it where I give a little…like jazz hands quip and move on. It just doesn’t work, so I’m not going to.”
She finished by saying, “I was a very naïve 21-year-old kid and that’s all there is to it.”
Her episode is described as, “Sophia Bush (One Tree Hill, Incredibles 2) joins me this week for a terrific conversation concerning the systematic idea of love and relationships. Sophia comments on the controversy surrounding the creator of One Tree Hill and how it truly delayed a wonderful and healthy relationship between her and her cast mates. We also discuss how Sophia’s relationship with her parents furthered her maturity levels early on in her life, her superior dog training skills, and the idea of love before prefrontal cortex development.”
Listening to Sophia talk about anything is always an enlightening experience. Be sure to listen!
