One Tree Hill was one of the best shows. Even when the episodes were outlandish and way too much, it was still a show that hit home for a generation. There really wasn’t and hasn’t been anything like it.
The shows cast has long been followed by its fans – myself included. It doesn’t matter where they go or what they do – we’ll watch it. Because the stars of One Tree Hill are like family. They are the place – this show is the place – that feels like home.
Sophia Bush, Hilarie Burton-Morgan and Bethany Joy Lenz have joined forces to “reclaim” One Tree Hill.
“Quarantine hit and I was doom scrolling like everyone else. And the number of people who were posting about how in this really scary time at the start of the pandemic, they were starting One Tree Hill over again, really kind of hit me,” Sophia Bush told PEOPLE. “I was like, this show has something magic about it. It feels really evergreen to so many people.”
She continued, “So let’s be very clear that it feels great to be executive producing this podcast together. We’re like, ‘Oh, who’s in charge? We’re in charge.’ Yeah. We’re in charge and it’s great. I love it. I love a reclamation.”
“We’re moving forward with where we are now, and looking back and reliving the memories,” Lenz told People. “There’s going to be a lot of candid talk about what we experienced, but we’re not trying to be like Jerry Springer and trash everything. We loved our show. We love what we’re doing now.”
We’re hoping that the three of them will have other One Tree Hill cast members on, reliving the moments with them. But even if they don’t, we’re definitely excited for these three.
Drama Queens premieres June 21 on iHeartRadio and wherever you listen to Podcasts. We’ll definitely be listening to Sophia. Will you?
