After We Fell the third film in the franchise based on the After series from New York Times bestselling author Anna Todd has been out for a few months now. As we all know it’s the continuation of Tessa and Hardin’s journey to navigate their new relationship while balancing the outside factors that constantly come in to tear them apart. In this installment, Tessa is focusing on school and developing her career while dealing with the arrival of estranged father. Hardin is focused on doing what he can not to lose her.
Fangirlish recently had the opportunity to sit down with director Castille Landon to talk about filming. We asked her about what sets her directing apart from the previous directors in the franchise, how it was to film without the author on set, and we even asked her about the After spinoffs.
Castille answered all of our questions. In a world where the #MeToo movement is happening it was definitely important to change Hardin’s perspective a bit. Like she said, if the book had been written in 2021, the story would have been much different.
Check it out below.
We appreciate Castille taking the time to answer our questions. We didn’t get an answer about the spinoffs just yet, but we will be keeping our eyes and ears open because we really want to know how she plans to bring those stories to life. With it being a completely new world, we still have so many questions about this upcoming series.
After We Fell is available on digital platforms as of 10/19/21.
