When it comes to reality television, we’re picky. We like a good show, even though when you think about it, is any reality television show is inherently a hot mess. That doesn’t mean that it’s not good though, because life is a hot mess.
However, when we’re talking about reality television, most of the lives on there are unattainable. They don’t ever feel like it’s a life that isn’t staged or fake in some way. Now, you may disagree with me, but Real Girlfriends in Paris doesn’t feel like that.
It feels like they are the friends that you know. The friends that are doing amazing things in the world and living this life that isn’t easy, but it doesn’t matter how hard it is – they are living it.
We’ve spoken with the stars of the show – having spoken to 5/6th’s of the cast and I have to admit that my opinions of them changed by speaking to them. But these two – Adja Toure and Kacey Margo just made me love them more.
The two are my favorite cast members – because they are relatable. They are real. They are everyday people struggling, but doing everything to follow their dreams.
In PARIS! And that is f**king inspirational.
In the show, six bold 20-something American women experience their wildest adventure yet. While in the City of Lights, they find each other, encounter a romantic rendezvous or two and embrace all the spontaneity that comes with living in an exciting new city. Always looking for a good time, the women find themselves in an extraordinarily rich moment in their lives where the possibilities for true love, unrelenting passion and forging lifelong friendships are endless.
Sounds perfect, right? Well it’s definitely a show that I am loving. Once you get past the first episode (though it does have its good parts) you will fall into the world of Emily Gorelik, Anya Firestone, Adja Toure, Victoria Zito, Margaux Lignel, and Kacey Margo. You’ll start to root for them like they are your friends. You’ll become invested in their lives. You’ll love them and you’ll become angry at them.
You’ll want more for some and less for some. You’ll be trying to figure out everything that can happen and wanting to warn them all from it. Especially these two.
