Look, we understand that there are a lot of things that are being remade, rebooted, re-whatever and we understand that some people like that. We’re not against all things being rebooted. We’re not against giving things a new life.
But when it comes to the movie Ghost, that’s a no. You don’t f**k with greatness. You don’t do it. And you definitely don’t f**k with Patrick Swayze movies when you’re Channing Tatum.
Look, Channing Tatum could be the worlds greatest guy and some may consider him a good actor. But, him playing the Patrick Swayze role in a remake of Ghost? We can think of a million things that would be less painful to watch.
The actor revealed in an interview with Vanity Fair that he owns the rights to the 1990’s movie and plans to remake it.
Where’s the petition to ask that this never happens?
Free Association (his production company) has “the rights to Ghost” and the actor told Vanity Fair that he would play the Patrick Swayze role in the new film. The actor told the interviewer while they were making pottery and well, lets just say that the interviewer made the whole interview sound very sexual.
“Now I know why they put this in Ghost,” Channing said while making pottery, “This whole process is very, very sexual.”
Whereas we do get that making pottery can be sexual (look, we tell the truth) but where we’d watch Channing make pottery in another movie, a remake of Ghost? Just please stop. Don’t do it.
