The Santa Clause is an iconic franchise, even if its lead, Tim Allen, is less than iconic. We said what we said.
The movie franchise was turned into a series during the pandemic and the second season finally has a premiere date. The new season will premiere on the streaming on the Disney+ platform on Wednesday, November 8.
In this new upcoming season, “the Calvin family is back in the North Pole as Scott Calvin continues his role as Santa Claus after retirement plans were thwarted when failing to find a worthy successor in season one. Now that Scott and his family have successfully saved Christmas, Scott turns his focus towards training his son Cal (Austin Kane) to eventually take over the ‘family business’ as Santa Claus.”
The first season of The Santa Clauses starred Tim Allen as Scott Calvin/Santa Claus, Elizabeth Mitchell as Carol / Mrs. Claus, Kal Penn as Simon Choksi, Elizabeth Allen-Dick as Sandra, Austin Kane as Cal, Rupali Redd as Grace Choksi, Devin Bright as Noel, and Matilda Lawler as Betty.
Joining the cast this season will be Eric Stonestreet, Tracy Morgan, Marta Kessler, Liam Kyle, Isabella Bennett, Sasha Knight, Ruby Jay, Mia Lynn Bangunan, and Laura San Giacomo.
