Well, you know that we’re fans of The Santa Clause franchise, but not fans of Tim Allen’s politics. We said what we said and we’re not sad about it. Yes, we didn’t need to mention it, but we also did, because look, we don’t want to be associated with his bullshit.
But that being said, it’s a conundrum. Because The Santa Clause movies will forever be one of our favorite reminders of our youth. We watched it every year with our families, excited over what would come next.
In this new upcoming season, “the Calvin family is back in the North Pole as Scott Calvin continues his role as Santa Claus after retirement plans were thwarted when failing to find a worthy successor in season one. Now that Scott and his family have successfully saved Christmas, Scott turns his focus towards training his son Cal (Austin Kane) to eventually take over the ‘family business’ as Santa Claus.”
The first season of The Santa Clauses starred Tim Allen as Scott Calvin/Santa Claus, Elizabeth Mitchell as Carol / Mrs. Claus, Kal Penn as Simon Choksi, Elizabeth Allen-Dick as Sandra, Austin Kane as Cal, Rupali Redd as Grace Choksi, Devin Bright as Noel, and Matilda Lawler as Betty.
Joining the cast this season will be Eric Stonestreet, featured in these new images as Magnus Antas, Tracy Morgan, Marta Kessler, Liam Kyle, Isabella Bennett, Sasha Knight, Ruby Jay, Mia Lynn Bangunan, and Laura San Giacomo.
