We’re all used to the fact that when you go online, the possibility of having to deal with trolls is there. It’s not even that we want to and it shouldn’t be something that we expect, but it’s there. It’s the way that people are in these times.
Doesn’t make it right. The reality is that trolls are in the wrong. We can’t even imagine what it’s like for a celebrity. Whereas most celebrities don’t respond (because lets face it, most of the time it makes things worse), some do. We’re not even saying they are wrong to do just that, because lets face it, there is only so much that anyone can take.
Paris Jackson has spent her life being the target of trolls. She’s not afraid to speak up and speak back. She has every reason to.
People are cruel and people are unnecessarily mean to her. The model went online and posted a clip of herself with the caption across it saying, “This is no filter, no makeup and regular lighting for the people that wrote really shitty comments about how old and haggard I look in my last video. I am literally 25. Just young and haggard thank you very much.”
It’s a sad world when a person can’t go online without being torn apart. One shouldn’t be called names.
But while you can never win with the internet, but it shouldn’t have to be that way. It shouldn’t always be a negative experience online. Or in life. We support you Paris Jackson and appreciate your candidness and openness.
