If you’re like us, you have a lot of theories about Taylor Swift’s songs. We always want to know who her songs were written about (even though we know we may never know).
Judge us, we’re fine with that. But you will never be able to convince us that you don’t want to know either.
Part of the greatness of Taylor though, is the mystery. The mystery of what you don’t know about Taylor Swift and the excitement of what you do know. She gives of herself with her songs.
One song that we love is Sweet Nothing and hey, like a lot of Swifties, we thought it was about Joe. However, Taylor liked a tweet from Paul McCartney that has us and many Swifties rethinking who it could be about.
📲| Taylor just liked this old tweet from 2022 which suggests that "Sweet Nothing" may have been partly inspired by Paul McCartney and his love for Linda. pic.twitter.com/wY4DTzTMcK

As you can see, in the tweet, McCartney says, “I would come back from a run with a poem to share and having listened Linda would say, ‘What a mind.’”
Umm… the lyrics in Sweet Nothing really make us think the song is about Paul and Linda McCartney. The lyrics are, “On the way home / I wrote a poem / You say, ‘What a mind’ / This happens all the time.”
We’d love if it was about the McCartney’s because hey, their love was definitely one for the ages.
What do you think? Who do you think that the song is about?
