We tell ourselves every single day that we will not watch anymore medical dramas. We feel cheated by Chicago Med, Greys became something we couldn’t watch anymore, The Transplant… it all goes on and on.
But we learned a long time ago to never say never.
Because when you cast Willa Fitzgerald and Colin Woodell our a**es are firmly planted on the couch paying attention.
Netflix announced that they have cast these two as the leads in their new medical drama, PULSE. Now the title of the show, we’re like dude, a little scared of that. Are we talking no pulse? Sure, a medical drama, we know that people are not always going to survive.
But hey, we also know that we’re here for the ships, the drama, and the craziness.
In the show, “the staff of Miami’s busiest Level 1 Trauma Center navigate medical emergencies, young ER doc Danny Simms (Fitzgerald) is unexpectedly promoted to Chief Resident amidst the fallout of her own provocative romantic relationship.”
Oh girl, that’s drama that has us all in.
Danny Simms is a third year resident and hey, her just being that and being promoted to Chief Resident is a lot. But this is television and we’re here for the s*** that won’t happen in real life. Simms is an exceptional doctor and she’s self sabotaging, so I think a lot of us can relate.
Woodells character, Xander is the Chief Resident of Emergency Medicine at Maguire. He comes from a powerful medical family. The two are going to have to explore their relationship, and how it is affected when Danny is promoted.
We think that Xander could have an ego and a little cocky, but we’re here for it. We’re here for the drama that can come between these two and all of the drama that will unfold.
Previously cast in the Netflix show is, Justina Machado as Natalie Cruz. Cruz is the Chair of Surgery and Emergency Medicine, and oversees the two.
Yes, yes, we’ll be watching. Definitely. Tell us more Netflix.
