While there is much that can be said about Atlas (and we’ve said it) we’re going to hate watch it. We’ll hate watch it and if we end up liking it, we’ll say that we’re wrong. There are parts of us that are torn about a lot of things because it could be good, but also we’re still living with the much ridiculed visual album This is Me…Now.
And yea, we’re torn about that too.
But the more that they keep releasing about Atlas‘ and at the same time in real life, they keep releasing more AI options and so, we’re like questioning. Is it a promotional gimmick? Who knows.
In the movie, “Atlas Shepherd (Jennifer Lopez), a brilliant but misanthropic data analyst with a deep distrust of artificial intelligence, joins a mission to capture a renegade robot with whom she shares a mysterious past. But when plans go awry, her only hope of saving the future of humanity from AI is to trust it.”
Trusting AI sounds a little too scary for us at this point, but we’ll see how it goes. The AI does have a physical form played by Shang-Chi‘s Simu Liu, so we’re considering taking AI’s side.
