News about Bridgerton season 4 is starting to trickle in! After Yerin Ha was unofficially announced as the new lead of the show alongside Luke Thompson, Netflix officially welcomes her as the famous Lady in Silver and gave some details about her character. Ready?

The presentation video is full of little details that we love. The silver shoes, the silver gloves…we are unmasking the Lady in Silver herself after all! But not only that, just like in season 2, the last name of the leading lady of the season changes for the show. In Kathani (Kate)‘s case, the last name used in the book was Sheffield, while in season 2 her last name changed to Sharma.
The same thing happens in Bridgerton season 4.
While Sophie’s last name is Beckett in An Offer From a Gentleman, the book by Julia Quinn on which the new season is based, in the show she will be called Sophie Baek.
But who is Sophie Baek?
According to the official description, Sophie has been forced to spend much of her life working as a maid for the most demanding employer in the ton. But the resourceful Sophie always finds a way to persevere through her circumstances — which will drastically change after she disguises herself to attend Violet Bridgerton’s masquerade ball and meets Benedict Bridgerton, which is pretty close to the description in the book.
