Buzz, buzz, buzz! Yellowjackets Season 4 is coming, which means it’s almost time to find out how the survivors of that plane crash finally made it back home. After Season 3 ended with a full-circle moment—the Pit Girl hunt, now with a reveal that she was Mari—and Natalie finding out Misty’s role in making their initial rescue impossible in the first place, we’re sure the Wilderness timeline is going to get even more intense. The present day timeline promises to be just as extreme. Last time we saw our grownup survivors, Melissa killed Van, Tai ate Van’s heart before burying her—talk about never wanting to be apart from the one you love, Callie killed Lottie, and then there’s that pact between Tai and Misty.

Synopsis — what to expect

The press release teases: “As the survivors race to bury their sins before rescue arrives and an old flame roars back into town with plans of her own. Turns out not every homecoming is a joyous one, and this one’s going to sting.” And, a reminder for the series overall:

“Created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, Yellowjackets is the saga of a team of wildly talented high school girls soccer players who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness. Equal parts survival epic, psychological horror story and coming-of-age drama, the series chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to savage clans, while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later, proving that the past is never really past and what began out in the wilderness is far from over.”

Cast

The “fun” thing about this series is that, even if someone dies in the present, you might still see their younger counterpart in the past. So, despite adult Van and Lottie’s deaths, you’ll still get to spend time with them, just like after we lost Natalie to end Season 2. The Yellowjackets Season 4 stars are:
