The newest show to come from DC Comics Black Lightning made its San Diego Comic Con debut and was a fascinating discussion from the cast and crew about black representation on the screen and staying true to it on the show.

The cast was very upfront about the importance of having black characters that little black kids or white kids could look up to. Also the show plans on talking about police brutality and black on black violence as well. Black Lightning‘s trailer and early buzz has been extremely positive and looks to be another success for the CW/DC family.
