This is the episode Olicity fans have been waiting for. And we finally have a synopsis.
Only, this isn’t telling us what we don’t already know.
In the newly released synopsis for Arrow‘s 20th episode of season 5, titled “Underneath,” it tells us that Oliver and Felicity get trapped in the bunker together — and intense things follow. This has been an episode that producers have been teasing for awhile.
As we’re all well-aware, following their painful breakup last season, Oliver and Felicity haven’t really dealt with their feelings. They haven’t really discussed things, which is why their relationship is awkward and distant. But that’s all going to change in “Underneath,” which will hopefully find a happy medium between understanding and taking responsibility where it’s due.
But the surprise here comes regarding Diggle and Lyla, who will also be working through their issues. Not going to lie, we’ll riot if they break Diggle and Lyla up. But they can’t. They won’t. They’d be stupid to do so. So, here’s hoping that this “working through marital issues” ends up being something that unites them rather than divides them.
Here’s the synopsis for “Underneath,” which airs May 3, that features some intensity for our favorite couples, Olicity and Dyla.
OLIVER AND FELICITY ARE TRAPPED — Things get intense when Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) are trapped in the bunker together. Meanwhile, Lyla (guest star Audrey Marie Andreson) and Diggle (David Ramsey) deal with their martial issues. Wendey Stanzler directed the episode written by Wendy Mericle & Beth Schwartz (#520). Original airdate 5/3/2017.
Arrow returns with its final five episodes this season on Wednesday, April 26 at 8/7c on The CW.
