The 20th anniversary of A Walk To Remember was this week and made us feel old as fuck. We remember it hitting theaters and crying our way through it. Though in all fairness, we still cry our way through it.
The great thing about the anniversary is that it brought us Mandy Moore on TikTok . And yes, we’re fully aware we’re embedding her Instagram below, but all good.
In our opinion, A Walk To Remember, is one of the best romance movies of all time. It’s one of those movies that should never be touched or remade in this lifetime. It’s a movie that is timeless.
But Mandy Moore would be okay with it being rebooted.
“I would love to see it,” Mandy shared. “It’s been long enough that, yeah, I feel like we’ve earned our place in cinematic history for a reboot at this point.”
Though we don’t like to disagree with someone as great as Mandy Moore, we respectfully do on the “love to see it part” because no.
But we did find her response to who should play Jamie Sullivan very interesting.
“I don’t know, Olivia Rodrigo or something like that,” Moore added in her conversation with People, “Someone could redo this film.”
Olivia would be a great choice. We love her. However, our Jamie and Landon will always be Mandy Moore and Shane West.
