If we’re being honest, Chicago Fire has always been our comfort show of the One Chicago universe, and it’s more our comfort show now that Chicago P.D. broke out hearts by getting rid of Jay Halstead. This is why we celebrate the Chicago Fire 11×01 “Hold on Tight” pictures and the glimpses at our faves.
Sylvie and Violet back together! Stella on a call, and therefore fine. Severide too! And though Chicago Fire always has the peculiarity that they can — and do — release pictures that tell us absolutely nothing, we’ll take it right now. It’s comforting because our faves are there. They’re good. They’ll be here every week with us.
And that feels great.

Kidd and Severide’s honeymoon is interrupted by a dangerous person from their past; Kidd’s former academy classmate joins Firehouse 51; Brett and Violet reflect on their relationships.
And though there has yet to be a show-specific trailer, NBC did release a preview of the return of One Chicago that gives us a glimpse of Stellaride, so it’s perfect.
