There are things that we have a monthly checklist for when it comes to taking care of ourselves. You buy all of the essentials, you have your nightly skin care routine, and some of us have to make all of the appointment to get things waxed.
And no, we won’t be expanding upon “things” because if you know, you know. Let’s just say that none of it is really a good time.
When you aren’t a person who has to wax anything, you aren’t familiar with the pain that comes with it. It’s not a good time. If you are a person that knows someone who waxes, please give them all of the love and support they need.
Simu Liu now understands what it is like to wax and has a new found appreciation for those that puts themselves in the position of getting it done.
The actor had to wax for this role in Barbie. We can totally see that and understand why. Ken’s don’t have hair (well accept on top of their head) and he needed to be smooth.
The actor has been one of many partaking in events for the upcoming movie. While on the red carpet for a promotional event in Canada, the actor was asked about his transformation into Ken.
“And, you know, being Barbie, or being Ken or transforming into Ken is no different, obviously, to waxing,” he told Entertainment Tonight Canada.
That obviously leads to the question of how much and what exactly he had to wax. Yes, we’re definitely wondering this, because we have priorities and like useless information.
Liu didn’t hesitated to answer how much and what he had to wax. He said, “It was predominantly the legs, was really any part of the body that would show.”
While we appreciate his openness we have to admit that we think he should wax the parts that one can not see to get the entire experience. Just saying.
“But yeah, I know I have a newfound appreciation for anyone that undergoes that, like endures that on a regular, semi-regular basis because that’s serious,” he added.
We agree Simu. We agree.
Barbie will be in theaters starting, July 21.
