The time has come to say goodbye to the Gabriel’s Inferno film series on Passionflix. Gabriel’s Redemption: Part Three, the final film in the series based on the books by Sylvain Reynard, is out now, and we can’t believe this is the end.
Gabriel’s Redemption: Part Three picks up right where Gabriel’s Redemption: Part Two left off. At the end of Gabriel’s Redemption: Part Two, Gabriel (Giulio Berruti) receives a letter from his half-sister Kelly. The reason is that she wants to meet with him to talk about their father. In Gabriel’s Redemption: Part Three, Gabriel feels conflicted about whether he should meet up with her. Julia (Melanie Zanetti) stresses that he can get information about his family history by meeting with Kelly. Because they are working on adding to their family at some point, she also reminds him that learning more about his biological father will also help him get information about his medical history.
Gabriel loves Julia and would do anything for her, so he agrees to meet Kelly. Gabriel learns a lot about his father from Kelly, but most importantly, he realizes that he did love Gabriel. Getting this information leads to a shift in his thoughts about who he is as a man and his capabilities as a father. Though Julia is thrilled that Gabriel got the answers he needed, she is still not ready to become a mother. With the pressures of school dominating her every waking minute, she knows there is no time in her life right now for motherhood. But, when an unexpected pregnancy does happen, she quickly has to make some decisions.
What I loved about Gabriel’s Redemption: Part Three was seeing Julia’s pregnancy journey unfold. It was done realistically. There were a lot of highs and lows for her. We also got to see how she balanced her education with the pregnancy. And, of course, watching Zanetti and Berruti together is always sweet because they have such natural chemistry that flows.
One of the things that I didn’t particularly like about the film was the constant jumping around to other characters in the movie. While I did understand the reasoning for some characters to be seen again, like Simon and Natalie, because Simon got what he deserved — he was an ass. I felt we could have ended Christa and even Paul and Allison’s story in Gabriel’s Redemption: Part Two because their scenes were so short, I didn’t see the need. None of their parts moved the story along. At least not for me. Now, Simon and Natalie, theirs did because those were two individuals we did need to see get their comeuppance.
I would not necessarily say there is a lot of conflict in Gabriel’s Redemption: Part Three, but the film is good overall. It was an excellent way to close out this long series because it ended on a high note. As a fan of the Gabriel’s Inferno book series, I can honestly say that I have enjoyed what Tosca Musk and co did to bring this entire series to life onscreen.
Gabriel’s Redemption: Part Three is available to stream on Passionflix.
