Attention all Scream movie fans: the OG cast is set to reunite in the Inland Empire this February. Creep, I.E., Con, which is known as the Inland Empire’s largest horror-themed convention, takes place twice a year, with “Creep, I.E., Con” in February and “Creep, I.E., Aftermath” in September. Until recently, this writer, a resident of the Inland Empire, had never heard of this convention. As a horror fan, this is right up my alley, and as a fan of the Scream movie franchise, seeing the lineup is incredible.
Let me say that the Inland Empire does not typically get a lot of celebrities or major events. If I want to see anyone, I have to drive down to LA. This isn’t a problem, but it’s nice to see something arrive in my backyard occasionally. Set to attend Creep I.E., Con for the Scream reunion is the scream queen of the 90s herself, Neve Campbell, who played the iconic Sidney Prescott; Skeet Ulrich who played her creepy killer boyfriend Billy Loomis; Matthew Lillard, who played Billy’s equally scary and murdering best friend Stu Macher, Jamie Kennedy who played Horror film expert Randy, and David Arquette who played Sheriff Dewey. This is a wild lineup, right? We thought so, too.
The cast will be doing photo-ops with fans, and we don’t know about you, but that sounds amazing. Who wouldn’t want a duo shot with Campbell or one with Campbell, Ulrich, and Lillard? We highly recommend signing up if you’re free the weekend of February 2nd-4th. Also, if you do go, the cast of Scream is not the only one you’ll see. There is also a Sons of Anarchy reunion, and Charlie Hunnam is set to be there along with Ron Perlman, David Labrava, and Emilio Rivera. Also in attendance at Creep, I.E., Con will be the cast of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the slasher flick. You can also expect to see Dermot Mulroney, Tony Revolori, Jessica Rothe, Christine Elise, and Hocus Pocus actors Tobias Jelinek and Larry Bagby.
There are so many people to see and experiences to be had at Creep, I.E., Con, so if you are a horror buff, consider grabbing a ticket because they’re going fast. Also, as an FYI, photo ops are a separate purchase from the regular tickets, so that’s something to consider. But we can’t think of a better way to spend a weekend!
