Say it ain’t so! One of our favorite characters is leaving FBI. It feels very bittersweet.
Katherine Renee Kane will depart the show this season, Deadline reports. We’re not trying to be negative, but we’ve been here before Wolf Entertainment and starting off with people leaving has us scared. We can’t do another season where favorites leave left and right. We need to know we can count on shows and the people that we love being there.
Katherine Renee Kane is an actress that we love.
There is no word why she is leaving the show, but apparently will be in at least one episode before exiting the season.
We know that as one person leaves a show, that normally means that another person is joining the cast. Deadline has also reported that Lisette Olivera is joining the cast as a series regular.
We first became familiar with Olivera in the Disney+ show, National Treasure: Edge of History. We were sad when that show was cancelled, but we are glad that we are getting so see Olivera in something new.
The actress will take on the role of Syd, “a trained Behavioral Analysis Unit Agent who is about to rotate into the field.”
FBI stars Missy Peregrym, Zeeko Zaki, Jeremy Sisto, Alana De La Garza, John Boyd and Katherine Renee Kane. FBI, FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International, all return to CBS on October 15, 2024.
