2026 is just around the corner! We enjoyed some of our favorite shows this year, and we’re ready for all the new stories and returning shows that await us in the coming months. Especially some of them. If you want to find out which ones, check out our list of the 10 shows we’re looking forward to in 2026.
Bridgerton Season 4

Bridgerton Season 4 is just around the corner. My favorite couple is Polin, so MY season will always be Season 3—although I’m not blind to its flaws—but I’m really looking forward to discovering Sophie and Benedict’s love story. And seeing Polin married and happy, finally. Benophie is one of the most popular couples and, as someone who hasn’t read the books, I don’t quite understand why, but I’m excited to find out.
So far, I like everything they’ve released about them, and they left me wanting more. The chemistry is there, the curiosity, the passion…yeah, I think this season could easily become my second favorite. I’m also eager to get to know Sophie and explore that less glamorous and more realistic side of Bridgerton: all the women who keep everything running while having to fight to stay afloat.
Bridgerton Season 4 Part 1 will premiere on January 29 on Netflix.
The Rookie Season 8

The Rookie Season 8 had to be on this list. Season 7 was okay; it left us wanting more. Especially with Chenford. We need them back! And we need them to stop going in circles. Tim has already realized his mistakes, decided to change, and win Lucy back. She’s started letting him in, even though she’s still hurting from what happened. So it’s time for them to have that conversation they so desperately need and work from there to get back together.
Also, we hope this new season brings us much more of Wopez. They were too much supporting characters last season. And, of course, we’re ready to see Lucy undercover again and watch her friendship with Nyla and Angela grow. In short, we need much more of all the characters who keep us glued to the show week after week. And a little less Bailey. Please and thank you.
The Rookie Season 8 will premiere on January 6 on ABC.
Outlander Season 8 (Final Season)

We’re going to need a moment. Probably several. Outlander‘s final season is coming. It’s a bittersweet feeling. We want to see how it all ends, we’re dying to. But at the same time, we don’t want to say goodbye to Jamie, Claire, and the rest of the Fraser family. I can’t imagine what it will be like when I see that last scene. I’ll be a mess, that’s for sure.
But all good things must come to an end. Outlander has to answer what happened to Faith and what the fate will be for all the family members, especially Jamie and Claire. These two kindred spirits kept us glued to the screen for twelve years. Whatever happens, we know two things for sure: they’ll be together no matter what… and there will never be anyone like them.
Outlander Season 8 will premiere on March 6 on STARZ.

The Vampire Lestat Season 1

Interview with the Vampire Season 2 ended in the summer of 2024, and we’ve been looking forward to seeing more of this world ever since. Because that season covered the final chapters of IWTV, and the next entry in Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles is The Vampire Lestat, the obvious move is to cover the Brat Prince’s first book (of many). Well, that’s exactly what AMC will be giving us in 2026, and we really, really can’t wait to see it.
Sam Reid has been a great Lestat all along — to the point where we’ve repeatedly said he was born for this role — and only good things can come from giving him even more to do. Yes, we’re particularly excited to see him as a “Rock Superstar.” (His words, not ours.) Teasers from SDCC 2024 and SDCC 2025, as well as an extended trailer released at NYCC 2025, have done nothing but made us even more desperate to finally see the Brat Prince back in action, in all his glory, and causing chaos. With everything we know about this character from reading the Chronicles, one thing’s for sure: It’s going to be a wild ride.
…but maybe he shouldn’t be telling the world about Those Who Must Be Kept. — Shana.
The Vampire Lestat Season 1 will premiere in 2026 only on AMC.
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Season 1

We can’t wait for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms! Returning to Westeros is a trip we’ll never turn down. But beyond that, we’re intrigued by the new air this show brings compared to Game of Thrones or House of the Dragon. This one seems to focus more on the characters. This series will be more intimate. Part of us will miss the dragons, but I also think it will feel good to explore the Seven Kingdoms from a different perspective. So we’re really excited for this series!
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Season 1 will premiere on January 18 on HBO.
The Boys Final Season

Knowing The Boys is wrapping things up in 2026 feels…oddly fitting. Uncomfortable, sure. But fitting. This one never bothered with subtlety or restraint and that’s the point. It throws its characters into terrible situations, watches them make the worst choices, and then see how everything fall apart.
Now it feels like everything is finally catching up with everyone. Old grudges. Loose threads. Stuff that’s been ignored for way too long. Nothing stays hidden forever in this world. We’re bracing ourselves for a mess, the kind that leaves real damage behind. And that sense that literally anything could go wrong at any moment? That’s why this final season already has us hooked.
The Boys Final Season will premiere on April 8 on Prime Video.

The Pitt Season 2

What is there to say about The Pitt that everyone hasn’t already said? Season 1 was easily one of the best things to come out of 2025 — in TV or otherwise. So, even with the quick (by streaming standards) turnaround in getting Season 2 to our screens, it just seems like the new episodes can’t drop soon enough. What will happen on the 4th of July shift? What kinds of raw, human moments will we witness as the overworked healthcare staff tries their best to care for everyone who needs them?
And what will happen, on a personal level, for the staff itself? How have they grown since we last saw them? Has the trauma of that horrible day stayed with anyone? (How could it not?) Now that we know it’s Dr. Langdon’s first day back, how is that going to go? Can he and Dr. Robby ever repair the close relationship they had before Dr. Santos’ suspicions about Langdon tore them (and his reputation) apart? We have so many questions and maybe don’t even know the right ones to ask — because if we know anything, it’s to expect the unexpected. Well. Expect the unexpected, but always expect this series to be good.
Seriously, if you haven’t watched this series yet, get caught up before January 8 because everyone’s going to be talking about this one again. Rightfully so. — Shana.
The Pitt Season 2 will premiere on January 8 on HBO Max.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: New Sunnydale Season 1

It feels unreal, but Buffy the Vampire Slayer: New Sunnydale is coming! The challenge for this reboot is obvious. It has to honor the original show, but without copying the concept, and while still making us recognize the characters we said goodbye to so many years ago. Furthermore, the series must find its own rhythm with new voices, new monsters, and new stories that feel relevant now. If it works, this could be a new golden age for Buffy. Do we think the show will overcome these challenges? Absolutely! And we can’t wait!
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: New Sunnydale Season 1 will premiere soon on Hulu.
Elle Season 1

A Legally Blonde series?! We’re happy that it’s finally happening. I remember watching the movies over and over and wanted to be like Elle. I’m a lawyer in part because of these movies. Elle was always smarter and sharper than people gave her credit for. Yeah, she looked perfect, like a doll. But that’s not why she commanded respect in a courtroom just by walking into it. That happened because of her intelligence, her strength, and her courage. And we’re thrilled to see her again!
Elle Season 1 will premiere in Summer 2026 on Prime Video.

House of the Dragon Season 3

Next year we’ll have a double dose of Westeros! HBO’s House of the Dragon Season 3 returns with the war raging as Team Black and Team Green test their allies. Alliances harden. Loyalties shift. Some choices will have consequences. We’re excited for this new season and only hope the pacing is much better than the last. And please, let Daemyra return. Season 3 has the potential to be the best one. We’re ready!
House of the Dragon Season 3 will premiere soon on HBO.
