BooBoo? Yes, that is the online nickname for Cameron Porras, thanks to an author named Michelle Lynch. She fell down a vertical rabbit hole, and quickly Porras became one of her favorite vertical actors.
Sometimes you fall down a TikTok hole, and the algorithm serves you something that you didn’t know you needed, but you do.
Cameron Porras has made a name for himself – starring in some of the most popular verticals, but that’s not just it.

Daughter of Zeus
Synopsis: After witnessing her mother’s murder at the hands of gods, Aria believes one thing: gods are heartless. One day she kills a mysterious golden lamb to feed her starving family-unaware that it’s a sacred creature of Olympus.
Why We Love It: Porras stars opposite Gabrielle Faith Brown in this film. His role? Kairos. The Greek god and personification of opportunity, luck, and the fleeting “right moment”. This vertical movie showcased not only physical acting, but TBH, we were kind of terrified of Karios. Porras managed to draw us in with the way he played out his character arc and the depth with which he was able to play his character’s changes. We were hooked.

Taming My Bullies
Synopsis: Emma Parker is a new transfer to Maple Elite Academy – and she’s picked a fight with The Big Four, on her very first day. Four rich heirs who rule the academy, they’ve decided she’s public enemy number one.
Why We Love It: Taming My Bullies was a fun ride. While I despise elitists, I also think that seeing someone take on people like that is interesting. The four male leads – their characters think they are everything and that no one can touch them. Emma, though, she gives not a care what others think. So she stands up to them and ends up changing who they are. Especially Rowan Calloway.
We love a female empowerment arc, but we also loved this one because Porras, who played Rowan, had to take his character from being the absolute worst to a boy who found redemption. He did it so well that he made the viewer fall in love with Rowan, as well as Emma.

My Boyfriend Gave My Virginity to His Bro
Synopsis: After her engagement, his friend imprisoned her, claiming to be her destiny. She fell downstairs while resisting. Upon waking with amnesia, a stranger told her she was his unfaithful fiancée.
Why We Love It: Don’t let the title fool you – it’s more complex than that. Now, the reason why we loved this one is that Emma, the lead in this movie, lost her memory and his character Dylan is there for her. He won’t take advantage of her, but is standing up for her.
And it’s him standing up for her, being by her side, and making sure that she’s taken care of what beautiful. He loves her and knows that she deserves the world. The two of them are stronger together and push each other to be better people.
Filled with a lot of drama, it also has a lot of love. And hey, we love Porras.

Taming My Bullies 2
Synopsis: Rowan and Emma face new challenges as a couple. They must navigate an heiress fiancée, an overbearing mother, and class conflicts.
Why We Love It: It’s rare that verticals have a sequel (at least that we know), but we loved this one. The whole franchise is a lot of fun and keeps you laughing, smiling, and wanting more. Porras, who plays Rowan Calloway, still has us falling for his character, wondering what could possibly happen next. But there is always something, and as he puts aside his feelings for Emma, finding Rowan’s way back to Emma is so much fun to watch. But that cliffhanger? WOAH.

Vicious
Synopsis: After Vicious bullies Emilia out of town, he reappears years later with an offer she can’t refuse: A job that could keep her afloat.
Why We Love It: Now, we’re going to admit this wasn’t our favorite, but it had nothing to do with Porras. Him – we were like ok now, please have more of this bad boy persona, because yes, please. Porras showed his ability to be a strong male lead, and we loved that for him.

Marked by My Alpha Stepbrother
Synopsis: Two rival alpha packs merge through marriage, forcing their children into step-sibling roles. When he rescues her from bullies, a mate bond sparks. She vows to sever it before the full moon; he wagers she’ll surrender first.
Why We Love It: Well, now we do love a werewolf show, and this one didn’t disappoint. Now, a lot of people are against the stepbrother trope no matter what. It doesn’t really bother me if they weren’t raised together, and these two weren’t. But we loved this one because of Porras and his ability to take on everything, but also care a lot about his co-stars. You could tell in their scenes together that he genuinely cared to make sure that she was comfortable, no matter what.

Sex Education by My Best Friend
Synopsis: College student Emma asks childhood friend Chase, to help rebuild her confidence after a humiliating party. They set one rule: no kissing. As feelings develop and the rule breaks, Emma must choose between her old crush and Chase.
Why We Love It: Friends to Lovers may be one of this writer’s favorite tropes, and this one delivered. Chase, played by Porras is that sweet, caring friend – one that is also a playboy – but also he’s willing to do whatever it takes to be supportive, but also love his bestie. He’s there to pick up the pieces, to support her, and be there when she needs him. Porras takes on so many different roles, and we appreciate that about him. It feels like he wants to have people see him and know that they can count on him making sure they are seen.

Taming My Bullies 3
Synopsis: After Rowan survives a near-fatal car crash on the way to Paris, he suffers severe head trauma and completely loses his memory of Emma. Taking advantage of the situation, Rowan’s mother blames Emma for the accident and bans her from seeing him.
Why We Love It: TBH, loved the whole film. But, the part that we love the most? Well, there’s a scene where Rowan and Emma are standing on a porch, and they’re arguing, but he’s not yelling. He’s pleading to be loved and for her to allow him the honor of loving her. Porras plays this scene so strongly that we couldn’t help but cry.
And if you’re going to make sure to cry over a vertical – well, you’re good.
Tell us what you think! Did we get all the best ones? Love it? Hate it? Tell us all the things.
