Drama. Drama. Drama.
Look Grand Cayman, I see you and there is part of me that is like, these people are upping their game. THEN, all of the sudden, I am underwhelmed. Some of the “reality” on here feels forced, some feels written, and some just entertains. While I find it to be a mix, I have to admit, that I am figuring out who it is that is the drama and who really just wants to make good television.
But what I am also finding issue with is that the editing isn’t allowing us to get to know all of the cast members. Now, I am not sure that I want to get to know them, but I am also sure that I want to have the chance. What I am finding issue with is that we keep focusing on things that really make no sense.
But they do manage to keep my dislike and disgust for Elizabeth Chambers strong.
And maybe we should start with that.
THE PITCH OFF
When it comes to marketing, everyone has different ideas. You’re always looking for the person that goes in line with your ideas, but as a business owner, you need to communicate a standard of what you want and what your vision is.
You know who doesn’t do that? Chambers.
Week after week, we see her sit there and talk about how much she knows about running a business and how she’s so smart. Now, I do understand that her sole purpose on this show is to show what narcassism is and who you don’t want to be in life, but FFS. She’s just miserable.
And she’s not a good friend.
Now, I have been rooting for Cass, because this job was hers. She’s running her business and Chambers came in and embodied what rude and petty (and not a good kind) is. She’s fought for this pitch off between Cass and Julian and then doesn’t even help Julian.
Look, when you put your friend up for a job and then you don’t even be there for your friend… that makes you just gross. I was rooting for Cass, because I don’t think that Julian should have even put himself up for the job. There are just lines that you don’t cross.
It was painful to watch Julian and Cass go for the same job. Honestly, the way that Elizabeth acted like Julian did her dirty and wasn’t prepared … well, goes to show you the type of person she is. Cass has the inside track and that’s great for her, but I will say that Julian should have been given some guidance.
CHELSEA AND THE BREAKDOWN
We opened this episode up right where we had left off, with Chelsea having a menty b over Tyson cheating.
Harsh truth is that if you’re freaking out that much over this girl, you’re not ready to move forward. I do feel for Chelsea, but she – at this point – has made her own chaos. She embraces that chaos.
At a certain point, you have to make a choice in life. You trust or you don’t. But the first thing you have to do is trust your own self worth. Chelsea doesn’t have any faith in herself and that’s a big part of the problem. She’s got to figure that out if she wants to move forward in her life.
Tyson is a bad guy. He’s done her dirty, multiple times. He’s shown you who he is. Why Chelsea doesn’t believe that Tyson has shown her the type of man she is, I don’t pretend to understand. But what I do know is that she can’t keep blaming her friends for the things that she does.
They are trying to be there for you Chelsea, but you won’t let them.
COURTNEY AND CASS
I think that they are trying to portray Courtney as this girl who has been wronged by Chambers, and I am sure she has. But what she’s also coming across as is this person that legitimately doesn’t know how to do anything in life but talk about others.
It’s not a good look.
What I have a hard time with these two in this episode is that they really don’t seem to know what to do besides talk about all the drama. I would love to know more about them as people and that’s what is missing.
My issue with Courtney is that she left Cass out to dry and having her tell Craig about the texts/dms. She shoulda been there and told him with her. Now, I also feel like there is no positive reaction that will come of this. There is nothing that can be said that Craig will react well to.
CRAIG AND HIS DRAMA
Here’s what I am viewing when it comes to Craig. He’s got an excuse for everything and he doesn’t take responsibility for his own actions. I want to believe that he’s a good guy. I do want to believe that he’s going to be loyal to his girlfriend. But he’s definitely not acting like that’s a thing he can do.
He has an excuse for all of the things he messaged Natalie. He’s pissed that his friends didn’t come to him.
But like dude, you’re still at fault for the things you say. I admire the fact that Craig wants to be a good man and he seems like he likes Charlotte. But does he love her? Not sure.
If you love someone you ain’t asking other women about the status of their nani’s. You also aren’t so damn defensive about the things that you’ve done. I think that Craig genuinely wants to believe that he’s done nothing wrong, but he kinda has. He knows he has too, because he keeps Charlotte away.
I get that he’s mad they didn’t come to him before, but also like, you did this to yourself. Craig, you have to keep yourself together and faithful. Emotional cheating is also a thing.
OTHER THOUGHTS
- Selita is the voice of reason on this show. I love her outlook on life
- Selita may be the only person that makes sense
