Have to admit that we’re looking forward to this season of Supergirl. Sure we may not be the biggest fans of the series at times, but we always hold out hope.
And the trailer that was released at San Diego Comic Con, we’re even a little more excited. But it also has us wondering if Lena and Kara will ever be okay.
“I don’t want to kill Supergirl. I just want her to experience the same hurt she inflicted on me. And soon enough, she will.” Lena says.
We’d like to say that is just the pain talking, but pain is a powerful thing.
You may see some unfamiliar faces in the trailer and that’s because this weekend at San Diego Comic Con, two new series regulars were announced. Julie Gonzalo (Veronica Mars) and Staz Nair (Game of Thrones) are joining the show as series regulars.
Not going to lie, my excitement for Julie Gonzalo grows, because I love her so much in the many Hallmark Channel movies that I obsessively watch.
Gonzalo will be playing. Andrea Rojas (aka Acrata), “a polished businesswoman and heir to a Central American tech empire [who is] now making a hostile advance into the world of media. Unapologetic and unafraid to make waves, she also holds a mystical secret.”
Secrets are never a good sign.
And you know we also love the introduction of a character that is new. Nair will be playing just that. His character will be, “hardened reporter William Dey, an original character created for the series. On the surface, he’s a cynic and a sellout who looks down on Kara’s earnest idealism. Dey’s not interested in making friends, he just wants to get the story — but his ties to the criminal underworld could prove problematic.”
