If you’re like us, you’re anxiously awaiting the live action Cinderella. It’s not only because Camila Cabello is in the movie, but also because Billy Porter stars as the Fairy Godmother.
When the actor spoke about the role with CBS he said that the Fairy Godmother is genderless.
And we love this!
“It hit me when I was on set last week how profound it is that I am playing the fairy godmother, they call it the Fab G,” he shared in the interview.
Billy added, “Magic has no gender. We are presenting this character as genderless, at least that’s how I’m playing it. And it’s really powerful.”
It definitely is powerful and something beautiful.
