It’s still spooky season here at Fangirlish and we’ve been keeping you filled with some of our Halloween favorites. Like I said before, I don’t get super halloweeny like most people do but, I do love Halloween because there is no shortage of things that you can watch to fill your spooky quota. We’re not just limiting scary things to horror flicks and all that though. You can get your scary on with television as well and that’s why we’ve put together this list of the scariest characters ever on TV.
Paul Spector- The Fall

What makes Paul Spector so scary is that he is so good at being deceptive. Paul is a family man with a wife, two children and a very dark secret. By day, he works as a grief counselor but at night he is a stalker and killer of women. Jamie Dornan does a phenomenal job portraying this character and it’s so chilling how good he is. Paul has no moral compass whatsoever and gives zero fucks about anything he does. He especially has a lot of fun playing cat and mouse with Policewoman Stella Gibson.
William Lewis- Law And Order SVU: 14×24 “Her Negotiation” & 15X1 “Surrender Benson”

William Lewis is just awful. I have been watching Law And Order: SVU for a long time and he is literally one of the scariest characters I’ve seen on the show. He is a sociopath, rapist, and murderer that didn’t’ care who he hurt. He kidnapped Detective Olivia Benson and held her captive, but she was able to escape. You would think it would have stopped there but no, it did not. William Lewis shows up in a few more episodes of the show to make Olivia’s life pure hell. The scariest thing about him is how good he is at being a manipulator. He did some awful things, but had people feeling sorry for him. Seriously, these episodes are intense.
Billy Russo AKA “Jigsaw”-The Punisher

Some of you might be like Billy Russo, scary? Are you serious? Yes. Yes, I am. Billy was a major manipulator. I don’t know anything scarier than your best friend not telling you that someone is about to come kill you and your entire family. Billy’s manipulation of agent Madani was also scary as hell. While he was dating her, he killed her partner and then gave her a freaking bath afterwards while she was mourning, unaware that he was the murderer.
When Billy became Jigsaw, he was even scarier because of how unpredictable he was. He had moments when he would be so calm and quiet, and then like a switch went off, he would just become violent.
John Pilgrim- The Punisher

John Pilgrim showed up in season two of The Punisher and boy did he give Frank a run for his money. John was a Christian man who claimed to have reformed himself, but the things he did said otherwise. He is a violent man and tries to use his religion as an excuse but what he does is definitely not for the good of religion.
Franklin-True Blood

Franklin was so crazy. He was an assassin who worked for the vampire king of Mississippi and he had no qualms about who he killed. He was reckless, messy and his obsession with Tara made him even more so.
Kai Parker- The Vampire Diaries

If you were a fan of The Vampire Diaries then you know Kai. For those of you that don’t know, Kai is a warlock with the ability to siphon magic. He murdered his siblings and is the black sheep of the family. Every move he makes is a power grab and he doesn’t care about anything but that. He made everyone in Mystic fall’s life a nightmare but one of the most heinous acts he committed was spoiler alert, killing his pregnant twin sister at her wedding.
Cade- The Vampire Diaries

I cannot tell you how much I hated Cade. He showed up in the final season of The Vampire Diaries and he just sucked. Cade is known as the devil and creator of hell and he lives up to that for sure. He literally made Damon and Stefan’s lives hell. He had them doing his bidding and it was beyond evil the things he directed them to do. Every episode of season 8 was incredibly dark and it was all because of him.
Void Stiles- Teen Wolf

After Stiles “died” during a sacrifice to save his father’s life, it left him vulnerable and he became possessed by an ancient Japanese spirit known as the Nogitsune. The Nogitsune was able to be removed from Stiles by Scott and Lydia but he took on the form of Stiles which was known as “Void Stiles.” Void Stiles was a sadistic and evil trickster and he used Stiles’s form to manipulate people including his friends and loved ones. Because of him and his antics, we lost one of our most treasured characters, Allison Argent.
Joffrey- Game Of Thrones

It seems most of the characters on this list that I deem scary are those that don’t give a shit about who they hurt and Joffrey is definitely one of them. I was going to put Ramsay Bolton on this list but he already made our girl Raquel’s list of the scariest villains in TV, which you should check out. Joffrey was a piece of shit and that’s all there is to it. He was an immature child with a serious violent streak. He abused his power in despicable ways and his disregard for anyone even his family is what made him so scary.
Dr. Victoria Harris (AKA Mom)- Into The Dark: 1×8 All That We Destroy

Now I know most people that have seen this episode of Hulus anthology Into The Dark will say Dr. Harris’s son Spencer is actually the scary one but trust me his mom is pretty scary. You see, Dr. Harris is a geneticist who creates clones. The clones she is creating just happen to be a young woman named Ashley (Aurora Perrineau) and Spencer is obsessed with her. Concerned that her son is a serial killer, instead of turning him into the police or getting him some kind of help, she creates Ashley over and over again and Spencer keeps killing her. It’s absolutely disturbing. She knows what her son is doing yet she keeps creating these clones for him to abuse and that to me is quite scary.
