Game of Thrones is a show with an extremely large cast, and this season in particular they were on point with their tweeting and Instagramming about the show, so much so that we decided to do a little round up of their best posts, allowing them to campaign for best cast ever.

Even though their characters are rivals for the affection of Daenerys Targaryen, actors Michiel Huisman (Daario) and Iain Glenn (Jorah) seem be thick as thieves:
Daenerys met a new Khal this season, but actors Emilia Clarke and Joseph Naufahu got along way better in real life than their show counterparts:
There was a major coup in Dorne in the first episode with the Sand Snakes obliterating the Martell line because of Doran’s inaction:

A big plot twist in the first episode was that Melisandre was actually a very old woman and that the necklace that she wore is what kept her young, as actress Carice van Houten commented:

Before his conversion to the faith, Tommen was pretty much failing at getting his wife back from the Sparrows, as Tommen actor Dean-Charles Chapman said:

Olly (Brenock O’Connor) was perhaps one of the most hated children in this series, so much so that when he died after the hanging by Jon Snow in episode 3, many cheered.

Bran made a big mistake in episode 5, when his mental wandering caused him to be marked by the Night’s King, and allowed him and the others to be found in the Three Eyed Raven’s cave and many many people died. Isaac Hemstead-Wright narrated it well:

We also saw the origin as to Hodor’s (Kristian Nairn) brain damage which resulted from a time loop whereby Bran warged into Hodor and young Hodor saw his own death.

Euron Greyjoy (Pilou Asbaek) won the crown in the Iron Islands in episode 5 with a proclamation that he will build 1000 ships to sail to Daenerys, after Yara (Gemma Whelan) and Theon (Alfie Allen) stole all his ships, he had a long way to go.

In Arya’s storyline, she was commissioned to kill an actress in a travelling troupe telling the story of King’s Landing which included characters portrayed by popular British actors like Richard E. Grant and Essie Davis.

A big cheerleader for the show, and his former love interest (before his demise), is Jason Momoa who played Khal Drogo in season 1, here he is encouraging Daenerys when she made her announcement to the Dothraki in episode 6:

A character we haven’t seen in awhile, Edmure Tully (Tobias Menzies) returned to our screens after being a prisoner of the Freys since the Red Wedding, in order to get his uncle, the Blackfish, to surrender Riverrun to the Freys.

Another surprising return was Benjen Stark (Joseph Mawle) who is apparently half wight/half human who came to help Bran and Meera get to the Wall after the deaths of Hodor, the Three-Eyed Raven, Leaf and Summer.

One of the big characters to make a comeback or return from the dead was the Hound in episode 7, and the audience were overjoyed, but none so much as Sophie Turner who plays Sansa:

One of the biggest badasses this season was Brienne of Tarth, who continues to be awesome as actress Gwendoline Christie prompted her appearance in the Riverlands to reunite with Jaime and negotiate with the Blackfish in episode 7.

In episode 8, Arya Stark made the decision not to continue her studies at the House of Black and White, so she killed the ever terrifying Waif, and announced she will be going home to Winterfell:

We were so happy to see Daenerys return to Meereen in episode 8 and our dream team were reunited again, as Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei) showed us:
Over in King’s Landing, Tommen’s swift confusion to the Faith and his actions after that was criticized by many, including Sam Coleman (Young Hodor):

Rickon (Art Parkinson) met his demise in episode 9 as he was killed by arrow by Ramsay Bolton. Although he should have ran in zig zag formation instead of running in a straight line:

The Battle of the Bastards was one of the best battle scenes in television history and the main actors sure got bloodied up, such as Kristofer Hivju (Tormund Giantsbane) and Dean S. Jagger (Smalljohn Umber):

There was an odd moment when we felt satisfied when a character died and that was the sadistic Ramsay Bolton, known for flaying people, feed them to his dogs, raping, torturing, killing his father among other things. Ramsay met his demise in episode 9, when Jon beat him in battle, and Sansa fed him to his own hounds. The actor who portrays him, Iwan Rheon, is such a darling:
