There’s so much to love about Roswell, New Mexico. Whether it’s the fact that every episode fails to disappoint, the complex and diverse characters that populate this realistic world, or the emotional reactions the show forces from us on the weekly.
But perhaps an underrated element of Roswell, New Mexico‘s allure is the soundtrack that guides the story each and every week.
I’ve always made it clear that the eclectic mix of ’90s and modern music breathes unique life into this show. Especially the ’90s music, which pays homage to the original series.
This week’s episode brought us some more ’90s goodness and some new songs that did a great job setting the mood for the tone of this episode.
Let’s take a look at the music that appeared in Roswell, New Mexico‘s fourth episode this season, “What If God Was One Of Us?”
“Steal My Sunshine” – LEN
This song played at the beginning of the episode when Graham entered the Crashdown and made an announcement. This is when Liz joined Isobel in her booth and started asking how she’s doing.
“Take It Easy” – Duke Ellington
This song played during the flashbacks with Nora and Louise when the ladies start dancing with Roy and young Walt.
“Como Te Deseo” – Mana
This song played when Rosa is trying to make a milkshake in the blender, and it breaks, just as Isobel enters Max’s house. It continues as Isobel is inside Arturo’s mind as he’s reunited with Rosa and the Ortecho family is reunited.
“Don’t Look Back in Anger” – Oasis
This song played when Isobel was transferring a memory on to Arturo as she was paying him for her food.
“Waiting on an Angel” – Ben Harper
This song played when as Liz, Rosa and Arturo were hugging and Isobel sneaks out and talks to Max about God and what they’re capable of. It continues as Jenna gets out of her car to look at a dead animal and gets blinded by a bright light — alien abduction! Finally, Max awakens!
“In the Meantime” – Spacehog
This song played when Arturo was working with Isobel, discussing why he wanted to get the Crashdown’s finances back on track. It continued when Isobel was peering into his mind and Arturo told Isobel he needed a different username.
