The era of Halsey’s fourth album is upon us. With the release only a few weeks away, they keep giving us more and more things to be excited about. In the lead up to the release, of If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power which drops on August 27, first we get an IMAX movie based on their album which hits select theatres on the 25th. Then, after the album drops, we have a special performance to look forward to as well.
Halsey has partnered with Moment House to put on a special Global performance of If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power. If you are not familiar with Moment House, they’re a company that was founded in Los Angeles in 2019 as the simplest way for creators to create special, ticketed experiences for their fans — no matter where they are in the world. These are what they refer to as moments.
Obviously, with COVID still raging, these types of experiences are something we all look forward to. Sure, we would all love to be in a concert venue again enjoying live music. Thankfully, there are still some ways for us to connect with one another and share our love for music in the same way, at the exact same time, whether you’re in the United States or an entirely different country.
This is not the first time that Moment House has worked with Halsey. When they released their poetry book, I Would Leave Me If I Could, Moment House held a special event where she was interviewed by another writer. During the event, they also read one of their poems live. I joined that moment, and it was such an intimate experience despite it being online.

From the looks of this trailer, Halsey’s performance is going to be a very wild ride. We don’t know any other details at this time like whether they will be performing the entire album or just a few songs. I haven’t ever done any of the music related moments from Moment House so I don’t know how they work.
As someone who missed out on seeing Halsey’s North American Manic tour because of the pandemic, I’m looking forward to this. Live music is my jam and we think most people can agree it’s a chance to escape for a little while and just put all the bullshit out of your brain and have a good time.
