I’ll stand by the fact that Monica Lewinsky got a bad rap, even though she made some pretty serious mistakes. But it takes two to tango and because she was a woman, an intern, and had less power – she was bullied on a level that no one ever should have to endure.
Yes, she did things with a married man. I am not excusing that. But, I challenge anyone who says that they are not attracted to someone in a position of power.
That being said, one of the mistakes that Lewinsky made is her choice in friends. Linda Tripp betrayed her and the whole situation taught me something – don’t ever say shit you wouldn’t want repeated, because someone could record you. Now, sure, we all make the mistake of telling our secrets, but if anything, I really never talk about who I have slept with or had any type of sexual relations with. Not that it would make the news, but just saying – use it as a cautionary tale.
The trailer for American Crime Story: Impeachment has been released and it is a good one.
“As you no doubt heard, you get to work in the West Wing as of this morning,” a White House adviser says to the newest crop of interns entering the White House. “You’re going to be working beside the people who run the world. Please, be professional.”
In the trailer we get our first look at Edie Falco as Hillary Clinton, Billy Eichner as Matt Drudge and Cobie Smulder as Ann Coulter.

“Impeachment: American Crime Story is a limited series examining the national crisis that led to the first impeachment of a U.S. President in over a century. It tells this story through the eyes of the women at the center of the events: Monica Lewinsky (Beanie Feldstein), Linda Tripp (Sarah Paulson) and Paula Jones (Annaleigh Ashford). All three were thrust into the public spotlight during a time of corrosive partisan rancor, shifting sexual politics and a changing media landscape. The series shows how power lifts some and disposes of others in the halls of our most sacred institutions.”
Impeachment: American Crime Story franchise stars Beanie Feldstein, Edie Falco, and Clive Owen. The show will premiere on FX, September 7th.
