We have a new series on the horizon! Florida Man is the next Netflix release we’re looking forward to. It’s dark, gruesome, full of shadows, and a really interesting story. Ready?
The show is designed to be a 7-episode limited series. At the show, when a struggling ex-cop (Edgar Ramírez) is forced to return to his home state of Florida to find a Philly mobster’s runaway girlfriend, what should be a quick gig becomes a wildly spiraling journey into buried family secrets, and an increasingly futile attempt to do the right thing in a place where so much is wrong.

It’s clear that the series, by creator Donald Todd, is a wild odyssey into a sunny place for shady people. It is not a typical show and our leader is a rather dark character. From what we saw in the trailer, he’s running from his past in Florida but his present is taking him back to where he least wants to be… and it doesn’t seem like getting over whatever happened in Florida is going to be easy.
Added to this, is the search for a woman who fled from a mobster aka her ex-boyfriend. But we are sure that the meeting between the two will change everything. Do you think the same?
