Showtime has made us want to subscribe again. We have to admit, we got rid of the channel on our cable lineup a long time ago. But now – they’ve pulled the card that can get most people interested.
They cast Benedict Cumberbatch.
The actor has been cast in Showtimes 5 part series – Melrose. And guys, he’s going to play “an aristocratic and outrageously funny playboy.”
We’re intrigued. Then again, when are we not over anything that Cumberbatch does.
The series is based off of the Edward St. Aubyn novels, Melrose. No premiere date has been set, but the show should start filming in August.
“We have been huge fans of these books for many years and David Nicholls’ adaptations are extraordinary.” said Benedict Cumberbatch and Adam Ackland. Ackland is part of Cumberbatch’s SunnyMarch TV.
Good move Showtime, good move.
