Sabrina and Nick, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina
Not only did Sabrina teach Nick how to love, she gave him the love he never thought possible for a witch like him. Which is kind of sad, but that is the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and everyone’s either missing a parental figure that is supposed to love you or has crappy parents in the first place. Also, Nick respected the hell out of Sabrina and that was the hottest thing ever. Seriously, he knows her abilities, has her back, and is 100% worthy of being rescued for the sacrifice he made. – Lyra
Elena and Syd, One Day At A Time
It’s a beautiful thing to watch One Day At A Time, identify with Elena, and then to see her find someone like Syd, someone that loves her, accepts her, and also someone that can sometimes make her stop and think, push her boundaries. Being young is a little bit about discovering who you are, what you like and who you want to spend time with, and to have Elena and Syd be who they are isn’t just amazing storytelling wise, but representation wise. One of the many reasons we’re so happy One Day At A Time is coming back for season 4!
Pepper and Tony, Iron Man
THE couple of the MCU, Tony and Pepper are the standard of comic book couples, one of the reasons we kept going back for more. The fact that Pepper made Tony want to be better, that she held him together time after time after time is well known, but we sometimes gloss over the fact that Tony made Pepper happy, that he took care of her, that once he let himself love her, he loved her unconditionally, without looking back, making her his priority over everything. That’s the kind of love that lives forever. And yes, we’re still living in denial.
Deeks and Kensi, NCIS: Los Angeles
For me they weren’t ship one of the ships of the year, they were the ship of the decade, and boy, do I have reasons. And in 2019, these two amazing people who learned to work together, and then to become friends, partners, only to go through that will-they/won’t-they that you know always ends up in will, finally said I do, after going through absolutely everything a TV couple can go through, and weathering every storm together. I could have been one of the people clapping at their wedding, that’s how proud I am of this journey, of this writing team, and of this show.
Lara Jean and Peter
The love between Lara Jean and Peter is so sweet that I fear cavities every time I come upon them. They’ve been through their ups and downs, like every couple on this list if we’re being honest. The only difference is that they’re cute as pie with a side of ice-cream. Seriously, even when they’re fighting you’re like, “No, you must not fight my innocent goobers.” Good thing they listen and are on this list because no John Ambrose looking dude is going to get between them!- Lyra
Poe and Finn, Star Wars
I know what you’re going to say, this isn’t canon. And you know what I’m going to say, right? I do not care. I’ve watched these movies, more than once, and I can tell you that the real love story, the one with progression, the one built on mutual admiration and trust, was that of Poe and Finn. These two belonged together, and even if we will never get to see them canonly together, John and Oscar already gave us enough in their performances to imagine these two Rebellion generals living happily ever after – together.
