If you have been reading us for awhile, you know that we can’t wait for the live action retelling of Cinderella, starring Camilla Cabello.
Give us a live action of our favorite animated movies and you’ll have us drooling and hanging on every moment.
But we’ve been wondering, with all of the amazing cast that has been announced, Pierce Brosnan, Camila Cabello, Billy Porter, Idina Menzel and Nicholas Galitzine – who will play the evil stepsisters.
It appears we have our answer.
Maddie Baillio and Charlotte Spencer have landed the roles of the stepsisters in the Sony movie.
Baillio may look familiar to you as she played Tracy Turnblad in NBC’s Hairspray Live!.
Spencer is best known for the BBC1 series The Living and The Dead.
The script for the movie is being co-written by Blockers director Kay Cannon and James Corden. Cannon will also be directing the adaptation.
The new Cinderella adaptation gets us more and more exciting everyday. We’re going to have to wait awhile for it to come out, but you can guarantee that we’ll be following it along the way.
Cinderella is due to start filming in February 2020, for a Feb. 5, 2021 release.
